Samson Siasia adds Victor Moses and Troost-Ekong to Provisional Olympics squad

Head coach of Nigeria’s U-23 team, Samson Siasia, has added Chelsea winger, Victor Moses and Norway-based defender, William Troost-Ekong, to his provisional list of players for the 2016 Olympics to take place in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
It was originally thought that Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi, Watford’s Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa of CSKA Moscow were the three over aged players Siasia will pick for the tournament in Rio, but Siasia has broadened his selection with the invitation of Moses and Troost-Ekong.

Niger Delta militants threaten to blow up any helicopter or plane that flies in the region, ask military to vacate the region within 48 hours

The Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC), which claims to be the highest organ of all the freedom fighting body, has released a statement asking the Nigerian Army to vacate the region or face full blown war. The military are in the region in search of members of the Niger Delta Avengers militants responsible for the various attacks on oil installations in recent times. The Joint Revolutionary Council (JRC) in its statement vowed to attack any helicopter or plane that flies in the region. The group in the statement also say they may attack the Commissioner of Information in Bayelsa state, Jonathan Obuebite, if he continues to make derogatory comments about the group. Blogger jailed for 3 years with hard labour for saying that 30% of Egyptian women cheats on their husbands

An Egyptian blogger has been sentenced to three years in prison with hard labour for claiming on national television that 30% of wives would cheat on their husbands if they had the chance, reports Mailonline. The blogger, Taymour el-Sobki was charged for ‘spreading false news’. The court in Egypt claims that el-Sobki’s comments could "harm public peace and damage the public interest."
