Nigerian National Assembly postpones passing of budget indefinitely

Members of the National Assembly of Nigeria have suspended the passing of the 2016 budget indefinitely because of the differences in figures in the budget. National assembly named febuary 25th 2015 as the passing date but has made away with it.

This new development came up at the joint press conference chaired by Sen. Danjuma Goje, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation and Abdulmumin Jibrin, Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation in Abuja today February 9th.
“We need sufficient time to pass a comprehensive budget that is implementable and also acceptable,” Jibrin said.
