Disappointed Widower Returns 'Woman of The Year' Award After Caitlyn Jenner Was Honored.

The husband of a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer who died in the line of duty while rescuing 9/11 victims returned her posthumous Glamour Award after the magazine named Bruce Caitlyn Jenner “woman” of the year. Lmao!

According to Mailonline, James Smith said Glamour magazine “insulted” the memory of his wife, and didn't like the way they placed his wife and Bruce Caitlyn Jenner in that same category.
The retired officer said he'd originally been 'honored' to accept the award for his wife just a month after her death in 2001. He claimed awarding the Kardashian reality show star - who was formerly known as Bruce - 14 years later was a 'slap in the face to the memory of our hero'
So James decided to send her wife's award back to Glamour Mag, but not without expressing his deep disappointment in a letter.

He wrote;
“I was shocked and saddened to learn that Glamour has just named Bruce Jenner ‘Woman of the Year.’ I find it insulting to Moira Smith’s memory, and the memory of other heroic women who have earned this award.
Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world, more deserving than this man? Is this the best you could do?”

A spokesperson for Glamour magazine has said the magazine was standing by their decision, hence Bruce Caitlyn gets to keep the award.
“We were proud to honor his wife in 2001, and we stand by our decision to honor Caitlyn Jenner,” the spokeswoman said. “Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards recognize women with a variety of backgrounds and experiences.”
Moira Smith died at the World Trade Center on 9/11. She was appraised with helping many victims to safety before going back inside one of the towers and lost her life in the process. She was the only female New York cop killed that day, according to reports. In 2001, She was honoured by Glamour Mag for her bravery. The award the husband felt has been insulted by Glamour Mag and Mr Jenner's dramatic sex switch.
