FORUM of Senior Special Assistants to Edo State Governor,  Adams Oshiomhole, has described as shameful, the protest in red by some Benin women on Tuesday in support of Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom. In a statement in Benin, yesterday, by Mr. Afuda Theophilus and Mr. John Mayaki, the group said  that the act was a sacrilege and wondered why mothers who are vessels of honour would act in that disdainful manner that would echo the sentiments of their paymaster.
He said: “The question that would bother a sane mind concerning the protest and the women is, what grievances do they (protesters) want to address that would amount to nude protest? We have not seen anybody who has been able to tell us the exact word the governor used to abuse the Esama of Benin. For women to come to a public square half nude is the most bizarre way to denigrate womanhood and motherhood.”
